Our Story

Bluestone Hearing & Tinnitus Center is a single practice that is locally owned and operated by a board certified Doctor of Audiology. We are not a chain, franchise or brand, but the vision of one woman with a passion to close the gap on rural health disparities by providing optimal hearing healthcare . Dr. Lowe's desire to bring change hearing healthcare in the region begins with prevention. Part of our plan for change will include placing a focus on hearing loss prevention while at work and at play. 

 

Our region is know for the ruggedness and beauty of the surrounding mountains and the people who embody them. My belief is that the we are so lucky to live in Southwest Virginia! I want to help you get back to living...fully living. Hearing health has been ignored in the world, new research has been monumental in bringing to light the importance of treating hearing loss. Untreated hearing loss increases the risk of depression, social isolation, cognitive decline and dementia. Two main hurdles have stood in the way of treatment options; stigmas related to wearing hearing aids and cost! Hearing aiTreatment for hearing loss has never been more affordable! With the appropriate guidance mild to moderate hearing aids can now be treated with over the counter (OTC) hearing aids. The time region deep in Appalachian culture, music, food.
